Greatly appreciated are the countless volunteers who, over the years, have strived to build and preserve what is special and worth saving of Waldoboro.  What began as a small group of residents, who in 1968 felt that it was important to save and promote the history of this small town on the Coast of Maine, has grown to a vibrant organization. Over the years, citizens have donated many loved family possessions while others have devoted funds, time to staff the Museum, give tours, present programs and tend the gardens.  Still others have worked tirelessly on the collection: cleaning, organizing and cataloging.

Our members are our most prized possession.  They are comprised of many neighbors joining together to preserve that which is special about our town for future generations.

New members and volunteers are always needed and welcomed!

We are happy to welcome Dana Dyer as our new Web Master! Dana met with us to discuss some updates on the website and some new ideas for the site. We are sure that he will bring some new looks to our site and, hopefully, it will be informative and encourage more visitors to the museum.

We very much appreciate the years of volunteering of Liam Ducharme in this position. He’s been a great help to the Society and we wish him “Good Luck” with his new business ventures!
