The hours and resources of the Museum are limited; however, the following should be investigated by those involved in research:

 

 

Genealogical Resources:

 

  1. Contact the Old Broad Bay Family History Association (OBBFHA),

  3. The Lincoln County Courthouse in Wiscasset,
  4. Historical societies nearby in Nobleboro, Warren, Friendship, Thomaston, Rockland, South Bristol, Union, and Washington,
  5. The Waldoboro Public Library Catalog; databases made possibly by the OBBFHA.  The Library also has a fine collection of Waldoboro research materials.
  6. Files of Esther Gross, recently donated to the Waldoboro Historical Society. Mrs. Gross was a native who gave many years of her life to genealogy research of Waldoboro families. The files coordinate sites on the Robinson Map of 1815. The files may be viewed by appointment (832-4421) during the summer months that the Museum is open.
